Mulugu: One person was killed, and five others sustained injuries in a road accident at Jakaram under National Highway 163 near here on Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Bhadramma (40), a resident of Pandurangapuram village in Raghunathpalem mandal of Khammam district. She along with her family members was travelling in a car when the car had rammed into a tree as the driver had lost control of the wheel on the way back from Medaram Medaram Sammakka-Saralamma shrine to Hanamkonda.
While Bhadramma died on the spot in the incident, five others including children were seriously injured. The body of Bhadramma was shifted to Mulugu district hospital for postmortem, while the injured were shifted to Warangal MGM Hospital for treatment.
