Nalgonda: After announcing that the Detailed Project Report (DPR) of River Musi Riverfront would be prepared in 18 months, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy said the project designs would be ready in 30 days.

Stating that he would take up another padayatra from Vadepally to Hyderabad in January, he said a meeting would be conducted at Charminar and challenged BRS MLAs to join him. Speaking during Friday’s padayatra covering 2.5 km from Sangem to Dharmareddypally in Nalgonda, he said come what may, the River Musi riverfront project would be taken up.

“Bulldozers will be run over on those who oppose the project,” Revanth Reddy said, adding that the damage due to pollution in River Musi was severe than a nuclear bomb.

“When Prime Minister Narendra Modi takes up River Ganga project with Rs.40,000 crore and River Sabarmati project, they were described as amazing projects,” he said.

“I want to ask the fake BJP leaders here, why should Telangana not take up River Musi project?” he asked, also adding that he would address the fluoride issue in Nalgonda permanently.

“I am not here to loot money. By using Dharani, I can amass 100 acres in Kokapet, it will fetch Rs.10,000 crore. Similarly, if some ‘abracadabra’ is done covering 500 acres, it will bring in Rs.50,000 crore,” Revanth Reddy said.

Meanwhile, the Congress move to invite Left leaders to address the gathering at the venue boomeranged, as they listed out the hardships faced by the farming community in State. Left leader Nari Ilaiah said farmers were struggling due to lack of minimum support price. Likewise, the State government should extend Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Bima and rescue the farmers, he said as the Chief Minister was standing right next to him.
