Yadadri-Bhongir: Following heavy rains in upper catchment areas, Musi river is in spate and was flowing over the bridge at Rudravelli in Bibinagar mandal, disrupting road connectivity between Bhoodan Pochampally and Bibinagar as also several villages in the two mandals on Tuesday.
Since Chinneti vagu was also flowing onto the road between Anajipuram and Raipadu, police advised people to take alternative routes to avoid inconvenience. They also closed the service road on National Highway 163 as it was submerged in flood water causing inconvenience to people travelling to Yadagirigutta and Mothkur from Bhongir.
A driver and cleaner had a narrow escape when a lorry turned turtle while crossing Buggavagu at Bugga Madhavaram village of Chinthalapalem mandal in Suryapet district.
