MVF, a recognised member of World Hearing Forum of WHO, delivers free diagnostic hearing evaluation, speech therapy and rehabilitation programmes for the needy
Hyderabad: The Hyderabad-based Meenakshi Venkatraman Foundation (MVF) and Rotary International have entered into an MoU to expand MVF’s Ear to Hear services in districts in Telangana.
MVF, a recognised member of World Hearing Forum of World Health Organisation, delivers free diagnostic hearing evaluation, speech therapy and rehabilitation programmes for the needy and underprivileged. Currently, MVF serves at Gandhi Hospital, Niloufer Hospital, Modern Maternity hospital and focuses on following WHO’s protocol of testing every baby for any signs of hearing impairment. It has tested more than 1.5 lakh children at these hospitals and provided almost 100 hearing aids for free, a press release said.
A new centre, provided to the Foundation for free by Amrut Lal Sivanand Patel of Arogya Rahasya, was inaugurated by Rotary district governor NV Hanumanth Reddy on Friday.
