Hyderabad: Well, South actor Naga Chaitanya seems to be having a golden period in his career right now. After having hits with ‘Love Story’ and ‘Banggaraju’, the Telugu actor is all geared up to hit the right chords in the Bollywood industry now.
Well, when quizzed if he always was interested in making a presence in Hindi cinema, the South actor plainly denies saying all he wanted to do ever was to entertain ‘his’ people in the Telugu States.
“Since I started my career in the film industry, my effort has always been to entertain the movie lovers down South. It remains my first love. But growing up, I remember watching the ‘Forrest Gump’ and loving the film. Never would that little kid have imagined being a part of the adaptation one day,” Naga Chaitanya said during an interview.
Naga Chaitanya will soon be seen sharing the screen with actor Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan in the upcoming flick ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’. The film is an adaptation of the 1994 American film ‘Forrest Gump’ which was based on Winston Groom’s 1986 novel of the same name.
Although Naga Chaitanya wasn’t interested in making an appearance in a Hindi film, it was his interest for the story of ‘Forrest Gump’ that made him hold the offer. However, according to his interviews, it was actor Aamir Khan who actually sailed the boat towards Hindi cinema for him.
Meanwhile, the actor will also be seen sharing the screen with Rashii Khanna in his upcoming Telugu flick ‘Thank You’. The actor also shared his spectacled look from the film recently.
