Nagarjuna unveils trailer of Telugu family drama Pallaburusu

Nagarjuna has unveiled the trailer of Pallaburusu, an upcoming Telugu family comedy-drama directed by Uday Chauhan. Starring Sudhakar Reddy and Murlidhar Goud, the film blends humour and emotions while exploring the evolving relationship between parents and children ahead of its August 14 release

Hyderabad: Telugu star Nagarjuna on Friday released the fun-filled trailer of director Uday Chauhan’s upcoming comedy-drama, Pallaburusu, featuring actors Sudhakar Reddy and Murlidhar Goud in the lead.

Taking to X, Nagarjuna wrote, “This August 14 we bring you a film filled with joy and emotion. Watch #PallaburusuTrailer now! #Pallaburusu is more than just a fun film!! It is a heartfelt emotion that celebrates the values and emotions that connect us all. See you all in theatres from August 14.”

The upcoming Telugu family drama is presented and produced by Annapurna Studios and EPIC Studios, with Aditya Pittie and Vivek Krishnani at the helm.

Written and directed by Uday Chauhan, the film, apart from Sudhakar Reddy and Murlidhar Goud, also features Gomathy, Prajwal Yadma and Sujatha in key roles.

Opening with an unusual yet intriguing premise, the trailer introduces an elderly father who walks into a police station to file a complaint against his own son for not buying him a toothbrush.

Left amused and puzzled, the police struggle to understand why such a simple request has led to a legal complaint.

What initially appears to be a bizarre complaint gradually unfolds into an emotional story of a father trying to make himself heard, highlighting the growing communication gap between him and his son.

The trailer takes another unexpected turn when the protagonist is seen digging his own grave.

Balancing humour with heartfelt emotions, Pallaburusu explores the evolving dynamics of family relationships, the unspoken distance that often grows between parents and children, and a father’s quiet yearning to be heard.

The film is slated to hit screens worldwide on August 14.

Pallaburusu features cinematography by Vinod K Bangari, music by Pawan CH and production design by Kshitij Jeevan Randhir. The film has editing by Srujana Adusumilli, while Vishnu Preserver has choreographed the songs. Princi Vaidh has served as the costume designer, while Adhip Iyer is the creative producer. The lyrics for the songs have been penned by Suresh Gangula.
