Nagarkurnool: Two killed, several injured as passenger vehicle overturns after hitting tree

Two persons were killed and several others injured when a passenger vehicle carrying pilgrims from Uttar Pradesh hit a tree and overturned at Domalpenta in Nagarkurnool district. The passengers were returning to Hyderabad after offering prayers at Srisailam.

Nagarkurnool: Two persons were killed and several others sustained severe injuries when a multipurpose passenger vehicle hit a tree while trying to avoid a collision with a two-wheeler at Domalpenta in Amrabad mandal on Monday morning.

The passengers in the vehicle were natives of Uttar Pradesh and were returning to Hyderabad after offering prayers at Srisailam.

The incident occurred when the Force Motors Cruiser (TS04UB1403) was heading towards Hyderabad from Srisailam. As the vehicle reached the Octopus viewpoint, the driver lost control while trying to avoid a bike coming from the opposite direction. The vehicle then hit a tree, overturned and fell on the roadside, according to reports.

Soon after learning about the incident, forest staff rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to the GENCO Hospital. Around 12 passengers were travelling in the vehicle at the time of the accident.Police also reached the spot and were gathering details about the accident, reports said.
