Gadwal: Two killed as car hits stationary truck on NH-44

Two persons, Mounika and Sai Kumar, died after their car hit a stationary truck on National Highway 44 near an HP fuel station in Jogulamba Gadwal district on Sunday. Police shifted the bodies for post-mortem and began investigating the accident.

Jogulamba Gadwal: Two persons died on the spot after the car in which they were travelling hit a stationary vehicle near HP fuel station opposite 10th battalion on National Highway 44 in the district on Sunday.

According to reports, a car traveling from Hyderabad towards Jogulamba Gadwal hit the truck. Mounika and Sai Kumar, who were traveling in the car, died on the spot, while the driver, Mukesh, was reportedly behind the wheel.

Upon being alerted by locals, the police arrived at the scene and initiated rescue operations. The bodies were shifted to the Gadwal Government Hospital for post-mortem examinations. The police are investigating the exact cause of the accident —whether it was due to speeding, driver negligence, or other factors, the reports said.
