Nalgonda: Students staged a protest at Thungathurthi on Tuesday demanding fulfillment of promises made by the Congress party during the elections.
The promises awaiting implementation included scooters, laptops, five lakh education assurance cards, and improved facilities in Gurukul schools. Despite the Congress government being in power for 16 months, none of these promises have been implemented, causing frustration among the students.
Several students expressed their disappointment and stated that the government has not delivered on any of the promises made to them.
The protest received support from BRS leaders, including Tungaturthi BRS mandal president Tatikonda Seethayya and others.
