Hyderabad: NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad, and Centre for Human Security Studies (CHSS), a human security studies think tank-Hyderabad, are jointly organising Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Smart Policing, a three day executive certificate programme to all police departments, Central Paramilitary Forces (CISF-CRPF-SSB-ITBP-BSF) and other important law enforcement agencies in the country. The programme will be conducted at Dr. MCR HRD Institute, Hyderabad from November 18 to 20.

Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, Registrar of NALSAR University of Law, Prof. V Balakista Reddy, said the executive certificate programme in AI for armed forces and police personnel was being conducted for the first time in the country.


The university was holding the programme as part of its university social responsibility, he said, adding that varsity will deal with legal and ethics related aspects involved in the AI usage as part of the programme.

CHSS, founder and executive director, Dr Ramesh Kanneganti explained about the executive certificate programme and said the police personnel from various departments would be trained how to use the AI for crime detection besides for the prevention.

Advisor to CHSS, Ashok said international experts in AI, anti-hacking experts, and researchers in AI would be teaching the programme. Not just the theory, practical used cases teaching methods would be used to empower the participants.

The participants would be taught about crime prevention and investigation, crowd management, and social media management among others using the AI, Ashok said. For registrations and fee details contact on +91652810374.
