Nama Trust provides Rs 50,000 aid to Venu Kumar’s family
The Nama Muttaiah Memorial Trust provided Rs 50,000 in financial assistance to the family of unemployed youth Gaddam Venu Kumar. Former MP Nama Nageswara Rao assured the family of support and urged unemployed youth not to resort to extreme steps.
Khammam: A financial assistance of Rs 50,000 was provided by the Nama Muttaiah Memorial Trust to the family of an unemployed youth in the district, Gaddam Venu Kumar, who allegedly attempted suicide after being upset over the State government’s failure to release Group recruitment notifications.
Former MP Nama Nageswara Rao assured the family of his support during a visit to console Venu Kumar on Sunday. The amount was handed over to the family on Monday by Madhira constituency in-charge Lingala Kamal Raju and trust representative Kanakamedala Satyanarayana. The family and local youth thanked Nageswara Rao for his gesture.
The former MP stated that the BRS always stands with the unemployed. He urged unemployed youth to remain courageous, emphasising that suicide was not a solution to problems, and appealed to them not to take such extreme steps under any circumstances.
Speaking to the media, Kamal Raju accused the government of deceiving the unemployed by failing to fulfil a single promise made to them during its 31-month tenure. He said it was not merely Venu Kumar’s problem but an issue affecting lakhs of unemployed youth across the State.
He demanded that the government respond and immediately release pending recruitment notifications, including those for Group services.
Party leaders Morampudi Prasada Rao, Vakadani Koteswara Rao, G Venkateswarlu, P Kondalu, former MP’s personal secretary Nagaraju and others were present.
