Nalgonda: TRS MLC Gutha Sukender Reddy on Wednesday challenged BJP State president Bandi Sanjay Kumar to name one BJP-ruled State in the country that was implementing schemes such as Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Bima for farmers.
A rally of 400 bullock carts and tractors was taken out in Miryalaguda as a part of Rythu Bandhu celebrations, in which a large number of farmers participated.
Addressing the rally, Sukender Reddy said the agriculture policies formulated by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao were a model for the entire country which showed the path to restore the past glory to the agriculture sector and saving farmers from the crisis.
Rythu Bandhu, 24-hour free electricity to agriculture pump sets and irrigation facilities had restored the past glory to the agriculture sector in the State, he said, adding that it was possible only due to the sincere efforts of the Chief Minister.
Referring to the baseless allegations of BJP leaders against the State government, he asked Sanjay to bear in mind that the anti-farmers’ policies of the Narendra Modi-led government at Centre had faced the wrath of farmers across the country.
He pointed out that the TRS government has extended crop investment support to farmers under Rythu Bandhu even during Covid pandemic besides purchasing paddy from farmers.
Stating that the people of the State were watching the behaviour of the BJP leaders, he cautioned that they would teach a befitting lesson to the BJP leaders very soon.
TRS MLC M C Koti Reddy, Miryalaguda MLA N Bhasker Rao and others also participated in the rally.
