Narayana students win gold medals at IOAA 2025 in Mumbai

Hyderabad: Narayana Educational Institutions students, Banibrata Majee and Akshat Srivastava, clinched gold medals at the 18th International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics (IOAA) 2025, held in Mumbai from August 11 to 21.
Representing India on the global stage, Banibrata and Akshat competed against 300 contestants from across the world. Their golden success added to India’s stellar performance, with Team India securing four gold and one silver medals, of which two golds were won by Narayana students, a press release said.
Narayana Educational Institutions Director Dr Sindhura said, “We are incredibly proud of Banibrata and Akshat. Their achievement at IOAA 2025 is a moment of pride not just for Narayana but for the entire nation.”
Narayana Educational Institutions Director Sharani Narayana said the double gold victory reflected the talent, determination, and hard work of Narayana students. “Banibrata and Akshat have set an inspiring benchmark for their peers, showing what can be achieved with focus and perseverance,” Sharani added.
