Narayanpet: The American Telangana Society in association with Telangana Information Technology Association (TITA) launched fourth Covid Dawakhana at Peddadarpally village, Hanwada mandal to offer quality treatment to people.
Donors father Balaraju Goud, who was Chief guest for the programme, formally inaugurated the facility. DSP Sridhar was Guest of Honour.
TITA in association with ATS to offer quality treatment, besides covid testing facilities, is setting up covid Dawakhanas across the State. The first such facility was set up at Maganoor in Narayanpet district last month.
The Peddadarpally covid dawakhana was set up at Peddadarpally Anganwadi premises. All facilities, including covid tests, which are conducted with the help of local labs, volunteers support are extended for free.
All the patients, who have declared covid positive by PHCs, can consult specialists doctors through online consultation. These apart, Complete Blood Picture, CMAP tests are conducted for free of cost.
Two doctors will be conducting online consultation for patients while two health assistants will handle the regular service at the covid dawakhana, which was set up here after thorough study of the location by TITA members.
The objective behind setting up covid Dawakhanas was to extend quality treatment to patients in rural areas. In the wake of third wave Corona reports, special focus is being laid on extending treatment, said TITA president Sandeep Kumar Makthala.
“Many donors are lending their support through ATS and we welcome this gesture to help the poor and needy” he said adding that more Covid Dawakhanas will be set up shortly.
