Warangal: Narsampet MLA Peddi Sudharshan Reddy will be donating solar powered study lamps to each student studying the government schools including the KGBV and residential schools in his constituency soon. Speaking at a meeting a mandal educational officers and HMs at a meeting in Narsampet on Monday, he said that the students would get to know the importance of renewable power like solar as part of Green Energy initiative, and help them study well. “The price of each lamp in the market is Rs 700, and 6200 students will likely to get the lamps. These lamps are safe and provide bright light for the students.
Sudarshan Reddy also added that that proposals had been made for sanction of additional buildings for which funds would be allocated for the development of government schools. Telangana State Renewable Energy Development Corporation Ltd, (TSREDCO), District Manager Ramana Murthy and others attended the meeting.
