Warangal Rural: Narsampet MLA Peddi Sudarshan Reddy urged students in his constituency to join the Government Degree College (GDC), Narsampet, where they can get quality education.

He along with member of the College Planning and Development Council (CPDC) of the college Dr L Vidyasagar Reddy, Principal Lt Dr B Chandramouli and faculty members released the posters related to the canvassing of the admissions here on Tuesday. He said that the college is offering several UG courses including BA and BSC including journalism as one subject in BA and asked the students to make use of the opportunity by making applications through the DOST 2021-22.

Speaking to the Principal and other members, he assured of all possible help for improvement of admissions in the college and restore the glory of the institution.

Principal Lt. Dr B Chandramouli said that some private institutions were resorting to unethical practices to woo the students by offering gifts and money to the parents of the Inter passed students in villages. CPDC member Dr L Vidyasagar Reddy said that the prestigious Government Degree College Narsampet was established in 1984. He said that it is the responsibility of the people of Narsampet to protect the institution by increasing admissions in 2021-22.

The private degree colleges of Narsampet were informed to maintain healthy competition in DOST 2021-22 admissions and extend their hand for enrollment in this public-funded institution too.  “The last date for the application online is July 15. It may be extended, but the students must make use of this opportunity,” the Principal said. Sources said that the college authorities were trying to introduce BSc in forestry and waiting for the government’s permission from this academic year.

Vice Principal T Ramesh, IQAC Coordinator Dr A Srinath,  faculty member K Satyanarayana and others were present.
