Superintendent of Police Akhil Mahajan participating in a bike rally in Sircilla town on Sunday.
Rajanna-Sircilla: Superintendent of Police Akhil Mahajan emphasised the need to wear a helmet while riding two-wheelers for self-protection as well as for the safety of family members.
The rally, which started at the new bus stand, ended at Bathukamma Ghat by passing through Ambedkar Chowk, Nethanna Chowk, Kothacheruvu, Chandrampet and Gandhi Chowk.
The SP said small mistakes were resulting in road accidents and people had to pay a huge price for small mistakes by them while driving vehicles. Vehicle users should recognise that it is their responsibility to follow traffic rules.
At the same time, it should not be treated as heroism to drive vehicles by violating rules. Families would be forced come onto the streets due to a road accident caused by negligence, he said, insisting on the use of helmets by two-wheeler users.
DSP Chandrashekhar Reddy, CIs Krishna and Veeraprasad, RI Ramesh, SIs and others participated in the bike rally.
