National Silk Expo showcases handloom heritage in Hyderabad
The National Silk Expo at Sathya Sai Nigamagamam in Hyderabad showcases handloom products from across India. Featuring around 80 stalls, the exhibition aims to connect weavers directly with consumers and promote traditional handloom garments for festive and cultural occasions.

Hyderabad: Handloom crafts hold a special place in India’s rich cultural heritage, said Dr. Padmaja Reddy while inaugurating a handloom exhibition titled ‘National Silk Expo’ at Sathya Sai Nigamagamam in Srinagar Colony.
She appreciated the initiative, noting that the exhibition aims to directly connect weavers with consumers, thereby providing greater encouragement and support to handloom artisans. She emphasized that everyone should wear handloom garments and mentioned that the exhibition offers a wide range of clothing suitable for festivals and auspicious occasions.
Organizer Jayesh Gupta informed that handloom artisans from major cities across the country are showcasing their products, including silk, cotton, and designer wear, in around 80 stalls. He added that the exhibition will be open to visitors till April 28.
