Nava Bharat’s gesture to old age home; constructs modern washrooms for inmates in Kothagudem
The washrooms were constructed at a cost of Rs 9 lakh as part of NBVL's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, Nava Bharat Vice President Y Srinivas Murthy said here on Monday.
Kothagudem: Paloncha-based Nava Bharat Ventures Limited (NBVL) has constructed modern washrooms for inmates at an old age home at Bhadrachalam in the district.
The washrooms were constructed at a cost of Rs 9 lakh as part of NBVL’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, Nava Bharat Vice President Y Srinivas Murthy said here on Monday.
The facility is equipped with western commodes as the majority of the inmates at the old age home run by Manavaseva Voluntary Organisation founded by Patnam Sarojanamma, were sick and in their advanced age, he said.
At a programme held at the old age home, Bhadrachalam Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), Dr Vineeth G, presented a letter regarding handing over of the facility to Sarojanamma. Speaking on the occasion, the ASP lauded the CSR activities being conducted by Nava Bharat and showered praises on Sarojanamma for her committed services to destitute, abandoned and sick people by providing them a comfortable life.
Everyone should try to emulate Sarojanamma and help the needy in whatever capacity one could serve them, Vineeth said while Nava Bharat Vice President Murthy explained the need based service activities being conducted by the company.
Sarojanamma expressing her gratitude to Nava Bharat said the company volunteered to construct washrooms at the old age home following a request made by her. She recalled that last November the company also provided 20 cots, mattresses and lockers worth around Rs 2 lakh to the home.
Nava Bharat General Manager (Civil) MGM Prasad, Dy. Manager (Social Development) M Srinivasa Rao, officials K Rajeshwar Rao, Anil Kumar and others were present.
