Karimnagar: CPI State Secretary Chada Venkat Reddy found fault with SIT for giving clean chit to police officials having links with the gangster Nayeem.

Speaking to reporters here on Sunday, he questioned the reasons for giving clean chit to police officials and termed it as unfortunate.

“Gangster Nayeem had raped women, killed a number of people and forcefully grabbed the lands of innocent people. Police officials had been involved in illegal activity with gangster by extending their support. Why the State government was trying to hide the Nayeem’s land grabbing and other illegal activities. The true colour of political leaders and police officials would be exposed if the gangster’s diary was disclosed,” he said.

Talking about new Revenue Act, Venkat Reddy welcomed the survey of lands by following survey numbers and regularisation of lands.

The incidents of rapes and attacks on women have increased in the country under the BJP regime. Ruling party leaders were also supporting the accused. Unfortunately, police have become puppets in the hands of the government, he noted, adding, the incidents of rapes and attacks on Dalits, tribals, minorities and other weaker sections have also been enhanced across the country.

Central government is conspiring to inculcate Hindu fundamentalism in education by making changes in the education system, he alleged.

Talking about recent murder of Hemanth, Chada opined that honour killings and rapes have also been increased in the State and there was no security for women.
