Hyderabad: As part of monsoon preparedness, the three civic bodies of GHMC, CMC and MMC have identified nearly 1,000 waterlogging hotspots. This includes 200 locations in MMC, 300 waterlogging hotspots listed in CMC, and around 550 within GHMC limits.

Though most of these hotspots are routinely identified every year and a local initiative of keeping the men and machinery ready to clear the waterlogging during rains is taken up, a long-term solution continues to elude.
