NEET aspirant dies by suicide in Bhupalpally
A 19-year-old NEET aspirant from Bhupalpally, Telangana, died by suicide after consuming poison, distressed over her low exam rank. She was undergoing treatment at NIMS Hospital but succumbed.

Bhupalpally: A 19-year-old student, who celebrated her birthday 18 days ago on July 11, allegedly died by suicide for failing to secure a good rank in recently held National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET-UG).
The deceased, Page Krishnaveni, a native of Pankena village in Palimela mandal in the district, died on Wednesday while undergoing treatment at NIMS Hospital after consuming a herbicide. Her father, Rajaiah stated that she fell unconscious in the bathroom after consuming the poison.
After noticing her lying in the bathroom, the family members rushed her to a local hospital and later to NIMS. She took the extreme step as she was distressed over securing low marks and feared that she might not be able to get a medical seat, he said.
Krishnaveni secured an All India rank (AIR)-2,60,392 and a category rank (SC) 22,380 in NEET. Her father said that she wanted to undergo a long-term coaching to appear for NEET again if she failed to get a seat this time and he agreed for that.
