Nepal gang member detained under PD Act in Jubilee Hills murder-for-gain case
Nepal-based gang member Sunil Bahadur Aauji alias Sunil Pariyar has been detained under the PD Act in connection with the murder-for-gain of Tanuja Ranjan, wife of retired IPS officer Ray Vinay Ranjan, in Jubilee Hills.
Hyderabad: Nepal-based gang member Sunil Bahadur Aauji alias Sunil Pariyar (29) has been detained under the Preventive Detention (PD) Act in connection with the murder-for-gain of 62-year-old Tanuja Ranjan, wife of retired IPS officer Ray Vinay Ranjan, in Jubilee Hills.
Police said Sunil and his associates allegedly entered Tanuja’s house, restrained and suffocated her, and escaped with gold ornaments and valuables. The crime was allegedly planned with the help of domestic worker Kalpana.
Sunil, a car driver from Navi Mumbai and a native of Nepal’s Achham district, was arrested on May 22. Police said he is also an accused in two cases registered in Gujarat and Maharashtra in 2024.
