Hyderabad: Dialysis care network NephroPlus has launched a national education drive on Covid-19 vaccination for dialysis patients across all its centres in the country. The initiative is aimed at spreading awareness on the importance of vaccines and guiding kidney patients on the registration process.
The initiative will also strive to dispel myths associated with vaccines and encourage patients by addressing other concerns on the safety and vaccine efficacy, Vikram Vuppala, founder and CEO of NephroPlus in a press release said. “Dialysis patients have to visit a dialysis centre three times a week, which puts them at a high risk of contracting Covid. That’s why we really need to work hard to get most of them vaccinated as soon as possible,” he said.
