Hyderabad: Two highly awaited thrillers are making noise on Netflix this week, Bollywood’s Raid 2 is now streaming, while Squid Game Season 3 is all set to release on June 27.
Starring Ajay Devgn once again as the bold IRS officer Amay Patnaik, Raid 2 takes the story forward with new faces, bigger drama, and deeper secrets. Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, the sequel is set in Rajasthan and dives into a world of black money, politics, and power struggles. Riteish Deshmukh plays the powerful antagonist Dada Bhai, while Vaani Kapoor adds strength in a key role.
The film is now available on Netflix in Hindi, Spanish, and Portuguese. But surprisingly, it does not offer Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, or Kannada versions, something many Indian viewers are finding odd. For a film set in India and loved across states, this lack of regional language support has raised eyebrows.
Produced by T-Series and Panorama Studios, Raid 2 features music by Amit Trivedi.
While Raid 2 kicks off its digital journey, Netflix is also preparing for the return of its biggest global hit, Squid Game. The Korean survival drama, which broke records in 2021, is returning with its third and final season this Friday, June 27.
Created by Hwang Dong-hyuk, Squid Game stars Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hun, and Oh Young-soo. Season 1 was a global craze, but Season 2, released in late 2024, didn’t live up to the same level of excitement. It got a mixed response and didn’t make as much noise.
As Season 3 gets ready to stream, there’s less buzz than expected. While loyal fans are still curious to see how the story ends, it’s unclear whether the show can recreate its earlier magic.
As Netflix continues to expand its global reach with major titles like Raid 2 and Squid Game, audience preferences and language choices are coming into sharper focus.
