Newly elected MLA Naveen Yadav attends GHMC meeting before taking oath

Congress MLA-elect Naveen Yadav attended Tuesday’s GHMC general body meeting before being officially sworn in. He offered condolences to late leaders, including BRS MLA Maganti Gopinath and poet Ande Sri. GHMC officials declined to comment on any protocol breach

Hyderabad: Newly elected Congress MLA V Naveen Yadav on Tuesday attended the GHMC general body meeting, even though he is not officially sworn in as a member of the Legislative Assembly.

Naveen Yadav expressed condolences to the departed leaders, including BRS MLA Maganti Gopinath, poet and lyricist Ande Sri, who penned the Telangana State anthem ‘Jaya Jaya He Telangana’, and AIMIM corporator of Santosh Nagar division Mohammed Muzaffar Hussain.

He said, “I express my heartfelt condolences to them. I assure the development of the Jubilee Hills Assembly constituency.”

On Wednesday, Naveen Yadav will take oath as MLA in the Assembly.

However, the GHMC officials denied commenting on MLA Naveen Yadav’s appearance at the civic body meeting and whether he violated protocol or not.
