Siddipet: Finance Minister T Harish Rao, on behalf of Action Aid India, an NGO, donated 30 oxygen concentrators costing Rs 20 lakh to Siddipet district administration on Sunday.
Appreciating the Action Aid India representatives Regional Manager Anjaneyulu and Programme Officer Phanindra for extending support to them, Harish Rao suggested that the health department officials distribute the oxygen concentrators to government hospitals, primary health centres and community health centres.
Saying that the oxygen concentrators would help the health department staff provide treatment to patients at their residences, Rao called upon the NGOs and corporate companies to support the government at this crucial juncture by donating the oxygen concentrators.
Twenty of the 30 oxygen concentrators were of 10-litre capacity and the remaining were five litres capacity.
