Hyderabad: A city-based NGO, Sahayata Trust, along with the Indian Muslim Relief and Charity IMRC, United States said it would set up four oxygen plants in the country, including two in the city.
“This is the first time an NGO setting up an oxygen plant in the city. Of the two plants in the city, one will be at the Indo US Hospital in Malakpet and the other at Tolichowki where free refilling of oxygen cylinders will be done for the public,” Trust CEO Syed Aneesuddin said, adding that each of the plants would produce 5,000 litres of oxygen per day.
“By July we will get the equipment and the installation process will start after that,” he said. The NGO, in collaboration with Deccan Alumni, Maahir Charity, Medical Aid International and Access Foundation, is also providing free oxygen concentrators to the needy.
