Warangal: Abhyudaya Seva Samiti, an NGO, and the Lions Club of Warangal Warriors jointly organised a free eye screening camp at Rangashaipet in the city here on Saturday. The doctors of the Sharath Maxvision super speciality hospital conducted the tests for 213 people at the camp.
Dr Thalla Ravi, former chairperson of Child Welfare Committee, erstwhile Warangal district, Mandala Parashuramulu, Lions Club of Warangal Warriors president Dr Akarapu Rajgopal and others attended the programme. The doctors at the camp have stressed the need for regular eye check-ups to identify eye diseases at the early stage and protect the eyes. “Eating fruits, fish, nuts, legumes, seeds, leafy green vegetables, carrots and sweet potatoes are good for eye health,” they added.
Barupatla Ravi, Kandikonda Kumaraswamy, Praveen Kumar, Kondreddy Naveen Reddy, Md Yakhoob Pasha, Lions Club of Sports secretary Poshala Sadanandam, Apparaju Raju, local leaders Gandrathi Kumaraswamy, Mohana Chary, Gundu Baburao and others were present.
