Niharika Konidela launches second production #PEP2; Pooja ceremony held in Hyderabad
With a promising blend of fantasy and comedy, Niharika Konidela’s #PEP2 aims to entertain and win hearts, continuing the success streak for Pink Elephant Pictures.
Hyderabad: Actress and producer Niharika Konidela has officially launched her second film under her banner, Pink Elephant Pictures. Titled “#PEP2” for now, the upcoming movie is a fantasy-comedy that promises to deliver a fun-filled ride for the audience of all ages.
The film marks a fresh lead pairing with actor Sangeeth Shobhan and Nayan Sarika taking centre stage. The project will be directed by Manasa Sharma, who also penned the story, screenplay, and dialogues alongside Mahesh Uppala.
The pooja launch ceremony took place on Wednesday, July 02, at the Glass House, Annapurna Studios, Hyderabad. The event saw several prominent guests from the industry come forward to wish the team. Directors Nag Ashwin, Mallidi Vassishta, and Kalyan Shankar were special guests. Nag Ashwin gave the first clap for the film, Mallidi Vassishta switched on the camera, and Kalyan Shankar directed the first shot, marking an auspicious beginning for the project.
The regular shooting for #PEP2 is set to begin on July 15 in and around Hyderabad. Backed by the success of her maiden venture “Committee Kurrollu,” Niharika and her young team are aiming to deliver yet another engaging and quality film.
#PEP2 also boasts an impressive cast, including Vennela Kishore, Brahmaji, Tanikella Bharani, Ashish Vidyarthi, Getup Srinu, Sukwinder Singh, Aruna Bikshu, Ramana Bhargav, Vasu Inturi, Rohini (Jabardasth), and Rohan (#90s). Their presence is expected to add plenty of humour and charm to the story’s fantasy setting.
On the technical front, Anudeep Dev will handle music, Raju Edurolu is the cinematographer, and Anwar Ali will serve as the editor. The film’s production design is by Ramanjaneyulu, with Pulla Vishnu Vardhan as the Art Director.
