Nikhma Health Care raided by drug inspectors of TSDCA
DCA officers detected unauthorised stocking of drugs, including IV fluids, in violation of the provisions of Schedule K of the Drugs Rules, 1945 and also found certain drugs were sold by the hospital at prices higher than the MRP
Hyderabad: A hospital in Mahabubabad, Nikhma Health Care was raided by drug inspectors of Telangana State Drugs Control Administration (TSDCA) for unauthorised stocking of drugs and selling drugs at a higher price than the MRP, a press release said.
DCA officers detected unauthorised stocking of drugs, including IV fluids, in violation of the provisions of Schedule K of the Drugs Rules, 1945 and also found certain drugs were sold by the hospital at prices higher than the MRP.
Stocking drugs for sale by a hospital without adhering to the conditions of Schedule K of the Drugs Rules, 1945, is punishable under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, with imprisonment for up to two years, DCA officials said.
