Hyderabad: NIMS Faculty Association elects new executive committee
The NIMS Faculty Association has unanimously elected its new executive committee for 2026, with Dr Swarnalatha as president. The new team pledged to safeguard faculty welfare, promote academic excellence and work closely with the institute's administration to address key issues.

Hyderabad: The Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) Faculty Association has unanimously elected its new executive committee for the 2026 term, with Dr Swarnalatha as president, Dr Megha Uppin as vice president, Dr PSS Gopal as general secretary, Dr G Srinivas as treasurer and Dr R Ramakrishna as joint secretary.
The newly elected office-bearers affirmed their commitment to leading the association with transparency, unity and dedication. They said their primary focus would be safeguarding faculty welfare while further strengthening academic and professional standards at NIMS.
The incoming executive team, which met Medical Superintendent Dr Nimma Satyanarayana, said it aims to work collaboratively with both the teaching community and the institute’s administration to resolve key issues, promote academic excellence and advance professional development across departments.
