“The addition of robotic systems has further enabled us to be at the forefront of technological advancements and we have successfully completed four robotic renal transplants,” said Dr Reddy who along with senior Professor Dr. Rahul Devraj and the Urology team led the surgeries.

“The same team that has performed these transplants carries out more than 1,000 other procedures a month adding to more than 12,000 procedures a year. We have also successfully completed over 350 robotic surgeries in less than 2 years,” Dr Rahul Devraj said.

All the surgeries were performed free of cost by the Telangana State government-funded Aarogyasri scheme.
