Nine security personnel killed in IED blast in Chhattisgarh
The incident took place near Ambeli village under Kutru police station limits in the district when a vehicle carrying security personnel was passing through the road in the naxal-affected area.

Kothagudem: Nine District Reserve Guard (DRG) personnel, including a driver, were feared killed in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast triggered by Maoists in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh on Monday.
The incident took place near Ambeli village under Kutru police station limits in the district when a vehicle carrying security personnel was passing through the road in the naxal-affected area. Naxals targetted a joint team of DRG personnel of Dantewada, Narayanpur and Bijapur districts, who were returning from an anti-naxal operation.
There were reports of a few personnel injured due to the blast. The blast was so powerful that the roof of the vehicle was blown off. An alert was immediately sounded in the surrounding areas; a rescue operation was launched to save the injured personnel and to provide treatment to them.
