Hyderabad: Nine players—Gowtham Manchukonda, Pranagn Reddy, Abhimaan Deshpande, G. Ritesh, Y. Bharath, S. Utkarsh, R. Sai Nigam, Ch. Sree Charan, and T. Shreyas—shared the joint lead with three points from three rounds in the Juniors category of the Brilliant Trophy Chess Tournament at Brilliant Grammar High School, Dilsukhnagar.

Meanwhile, Mohammed Shabbir Ahmed, MVK Koushik, Abhinav, MVK Goutham, Eshwar Cheekati, Ivaan Jain, and Mohammed Sahir Ahmed occupy the second spot with 2.5 points each.


In the Open category, P. Karyasheel, K. Perumallu, and Lella Devansh shared the lead with three points each out of three rounds, while Akshaj Kumar Vuppu, Y. Murali Mohan, C.S. Rao, and Rushikesh follow closely in the second spot with 2.5 points.
