Warangal: Agriculture Minister Singireddy Niranjan Reddy has assured farmers whose crops were damaged due to the recent unseasonal rains that suitable compensation would be given to them after a report is submitted to Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao.

Following directions from the Chief Minister, he along with Panchayat Raj Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao, Rythu Bandhu Samithi State president and MLC Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, and others inspected the damaged crops in several village under Parkal and Narsampet constituencies on Tuesday.

“Chilli crop was damaged in Narsampet, Parkal, Bhupalpally and Manthani Assembly constituencies due to the unseasonal rains. Following the directions of Chandrashekhar Rao, we have come for a field level inspection,” he said, adding that farmers in the country had been at the receiving end due to inadequacies in the agriculture policies of the Centre. “the TRS government, however, has always been on the farmers’ side, providing them free power, Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bima and other schemes,” he added.

Dayakar Rao also assured the farmers that they would get compensation for their loss, and urged them to be bold in these difficult times.
