Niranjan Reddy slams BJP for its unofficial support to Congress in Telangana

Questioning the BJP's silence on the undeclared curfew situation prevailing in Ashok Nagar in Hyderabad and the plight of the Musi victims, Niranjan Reddy sought to know from the BJP state leadership what was the hidden agenda behind Bandi Sanjay's statement that he will go to Ashok Nagar if necessary.

Hyderabad: Raising serious concerns over what he called an apparent alliance between the Congress and BJP in Telangana, BRS leader and former Minister S Niranjan Reddy on Saturday accused BJP leadership of providing unconditional unofficial support to Revanth Reddy’s government.

“It seems like there is a joint rule of Congress and BJP. While BJP and Congress wrestle at the national level, they seem to be friends in Telangana,” said Niranjan Reddy. Responding to BJP MP and Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay’s comments about Congress ministers attempting to oust Revanth Reddy, he questioned, “Is Bandi Sanjay a Union Minister or an advisor to CM Revanth? Why is he so concerned about Revanth’s position?”

“Whether the Congress government stays or goes, whether Revanth is in the CM’s seat or not, how does it matter to Bandi Sanjay?”, he wondered.

Niranjan Reddy further added, “Who are the Congress leaders trying to unseat Revanth Reddy? If Bandi Sanjay knows which Congress ministers are trying to oust Revanth, he should disclose their names. Why are BJP leaders indifferent to the plight of the Musi people? Before the elections, Bandi Sanjay was vocal about the issues of the unemployed. Why is he silent now? When peaceful protesters are being lathi-charged, doesn’t Bandi Sanjay, who is serving as the Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, see it?”

Questioning the BJP’s silence on the undeclared curfew situation prevailing in Ashok Nagar in Hyderabad and the plight of the Musi victims, Niranjan Reddy sought to know from the BJP state leadership what was the hidden agenda behind Bandi Sanjay’s statement that he will go to Ashok Nagar if necessary. “Is it because there is no need for votes now? Will he come only when votes are needed?” he asked.
