Minister Indrakaran Reddy inaugurates a causeway built across a stream between Jouli and Swarna villages in Sarangapur mandal on Monday
Nirmal: Forest Minister Allola Indrakaran Reddy inaugurated a low-level bridge or causeway built across a stream between Jouli and Swarna villages in Sarangapur mandal on Monday. Constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 90 lakh, the facility realized the long pending dream of dwellers belonging to the two villages.
Residents of both Jouli and Swarna villages had been demanding the bridge for quite a long time. Indrakaran Reddy, who promised to strive for building the bridge at the time of elections to Telangana Legislative Assembly in 2018, played a vital role in the government granting the funds to construct the facility.
Accordingly, the works of the bridge were commenced in 2020. Despite challenges caused by the lockdown, they were completed in a short span of time, fulfilling the long cherished dream of the villagers. With the advent of the bridge, the dwellers in particular students can easily have access to the outer world during monsoon and rush their family members to hospitals in case of medical emergency.
Speaking on the occasion, Indrakaran Reddy opined that Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was giving paramount importance to the agriculture sector. He cited Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bheema and provision of uninterrupted supply of power to the sector. He stated that funds relating to the crop input support scheme would be credited to the accounts of farmers from June 15.
The minister further said that Nirmal district would flourish in the agriculture sector once the under-construction package number 27 of Kaleshwaram project becomes a reality. He later inaugurated a Rythu Vedika building at Vadyal village in Laxmanachanda mandal.
