Nirmal: Mechanic killed as tractor mows down motorcycle at Manji village

A 26-year-old mechanic, Bodke Prasad, was killed after a tractor rammed into his motorcycle at Manji village in Nirmal district. His pillion rider Ganesh sustained minor injuries and was shifted to a hospital in Bhainsa. Police registered a case.

Nirmal: A 26-year-old mechanic was killed on the spot, while another sustained minor injuries when a tractor mowed down a motor-cycle at Manji village on Tuesday evening.

Police said that Bodke Prasad, an employee of a tractor showroom from Kollur, received serious head injuries after the tractor rammed into the two-wheeler, resulting in spot death for him. Ganesh, pillion rider of the same village had minor injuries in the mishap. He was immediately shifted to a hospital in Bhainsa.

Prasad along with Ganesh was returning home after completion of his duty when the mishap occurred. He was married to a woman of the same village six months back.

Based on a complaint received from Prasad’s father Gangadhar, a case has been registered. Investigations have been taken up.
