Nirmal SHE team tops Telangana, SP congratulates staff

The Nirmal district SHE team secured the top position in Telangana for its performance in creating awareness about crimes and controlling social menaces. SP Dr Janaki Sharmila congratulated the team and praised its commitment towards ensuring the safety of women and girls.

Nirmal: The district’s SHE team secured the top position in Telangana for its outstanding performance in creating awareness among the public about crimes and controlling various social menaces. SP Dr Janaki Sharmila congratulated the members of the team here on Saturday.

Sharmila said that the staff and officials of the team were discharging their duties with utmost commitment to ensure the safety of women and girls. She said that a swift response to complaints from victims and a slew of awareness programmes among the public on eve teasing, POCSO cases and other crimes helped the team secure the top position.

The SP said it was a moment of pride for the district police unit. She advised the team to further enhance the image of the unit by continuing to work with the same passion in future. She specially praised SHE team in-charge Narsaiah for helping the team secure the first position.
