The Nirmal district SHE team secured the top position in Telangana for its performance in creating awareness about crimes and controlling social menaces. SP Dr Janaki Sharmila congratulated the team and praised its commitment towards ensuring the safety of women and girls.
Nirmal police arrested five persons for allegedly operating mule accounts used by cyber fraudsters. Investigators found Rs 8.18 crore had been routed through the accounts. The accused reportedly received commissions and handed over banking instruments and mobile numbers to fraudsters.
He convened a review meeting with police officials over security arrangements to be made in view of immersion of Ganesh idols in communally sensitive Bhainsa and Nirmal towns
