Nirmal: Forest Minister Allola Indrakaran Reddy said that steps were being taken to convert Nirmal into a model town of Telangana. He inaugurated a bus stop and a lighting system in Nirmal on Thursday.
Indrakaran stated that the town was developed on many fronts at an estimated cost of Rs 50 crore. He said Rs 5.20 crore was being spent for beautifying roads. He said that a bus stop, parking zones, stalls for street vendors and creation of footpaths would be built on 3-km-long Mancherial-Tank Bund road.
The Minister further said that efforts were on to develop Nirmal town on facets. An integrated vegetable, meat and fish market was under construction in the district headquarters for the convenience of the citizens. Nirmal was drawing tourists in hordes after becoming district headquarters. He stated that the district was bestowed with many tourist spots and historical forts.
