Nirmal’s Dasturabad sizzles at 46 degrees Celsius
Erstwhile Adilabad district is facing a severe heatwave for the second day, with Dasturabad in Nirmal district recording the state's highest temperature of 46.0 degrees Celsius. Multiple mandals across Adilabad, Nirmal, and Kumram Bheem Asifabad are consistently seeing mercury levels hover between 45 degrees Celsius and 46 degrees Celsius.
Adilabad: Parts of the erstwhile Adilabad district continue to witness scorching heat wave conditions for the second day on Tuesday.
According to a weather report published on the website of Telangana Planning Development Society (TSDPS), Dasturabad mandal of Nirmal district registered the highest maximum temperature in Telangana by 46.0 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, Sathnala mandal in Adilabad district registered a maximum temperature of 45.9 degrees Celsius. Kerameri in Kumram Bheem Asifabad district saw a maximum temperature of 45.1 degrees Celsius.
On Monday, Bela mandal of Adilabad district and Nirmal Rural mandal were gripped by the heat wave as they both registered a maximum temperature of 45.9 degrees Celsius each. Asifabad and Bheemaram mandals witnessed the maximum temperature of 45.8 degrees Celsius. Several parts of the region reel under sweltering heat-wave conditions.
