Nivetha hits a six for Indur HC in five-a-side hockey tournament

Indur HC will take on Gymkhana Hockey Club in semis on Monday

Hyderabad: Nivetha scored six goals as Indur Hockey Club thrashed Medchal 6-1 to enter the semifinal in the women’s category of the Dhyan Chand five-a-side hockey tournament at Gymkhana on Sunday.

They will take on Gymkhana Hockey Club in semis on Monday. In another semifinal, Ranga Reddy, who defeated Gymkhana II 5-0 on Sunday, will face Royal Hockey Club.

In the men’s category, Gymkhana Hockey Club, Royal Hockey Club, Mohd Sporting entered semifinals.

Women: Gymkhana I 9 (Bhavani 6, Kusuma 3) bt Royal club A 1 (Harleen Kaur 1); Ranga Reddy 5 (E Jyothi Reddy 2, Aparna 2, Malvika 1) bt Gymkhana II 0; Indur Hockey Club 6 (Nivetha 6) bt Medchal 1 (Akhila 1).
