Nizamabad: Nizamabad Collector C Narayana Reddy has warned private ambulance owners and drivers against collecting high fares from patients and their family members.
The Collector said that those facing problem from ambulance drivers should complain to the Transport Commissioner and Motor Vehicle Inspectors (MVIs).
On Tuesday, the Nizamabad Collector said that they had received several complaints from people stating that private ambulance drivers and owners were charging exorbitant fares.
He said that the ambulance drivers should collect the money from patients in accordance with the Telangana Motor Vehicle Act and DM Act-2005. Strict action would be taken by the district administration against those who violate the rules, said the Collector.
If people face problems from ambulance drivers, they should complain to the district Transport Commissioner and Nizamabad, Armoor, Bodhan Motor Vehicle Inspectors.
