Nizambad MP Aravind faces farmers’ ire again

Nizamabad: Nizamabad MP D Arvind was heckled by turmeric farmers at Tadla Rampur village in Nizamabad on Monday for failing to fulfill his poll promise of setting up a turmeric board in the district.
Holding bond papers, the turmeric farmers along with TRS workers raised slogans against the BJP MP, who was heading to extend his support to farmers and stage a dharna against irregularities in Tadla Rampur Society.
Tempers ran high and turmeric farmers and TRS party workers obstructed the MP from proceeding further. BJP workers came in support of the MP, resulting in a melee. Police had to intervene and disrupt the workers and bring the situation under control.
