No New Year celebrations on Karimnagar’s cable bridge and LMD, says CP
Advising people to celebrate the New Year in a peaceful manner without creating law and order problems, he said all precautionary measures were taken to avert any untoward incidents.
Karimnagar: Commissioner of Police Abhishek Mohanty has said that people would not be allowed onto the cable bridge and Lower Manair Dam from 6 pm on Tuesday to 5 am on January 1.
Advising people to celebrate the New Year in a peaceful manner without creating law and order problems, he said all precautionary measures were taken to avert any untoward incidents. Celebrations were banned on the cable bridge as well as near the LMD. Celebrations on roads and usage of DJ music systems were also banned.
Strict action would also be taken if anybody was found moving on bikes with modified silencers. Drunk driving and triple riding too would be dealt with strictly, he said, adding that if a group of people got together or organized private parties without prior permission, action would be taken against them.
