There is some protocol and leaders cannot speak openly in the public, says party’s MLC candidate

HYDERABAD: Former MP and Congress MLC candidate Vijayashanthi said no one had any clue about what the party high command would decide or the responsibilities that would be entrusted on the leaders.

“We need to have some patience. There is some protocol and leaders cannot speak openly in the public, it will not work out here. I was silent as I was waiting for the party’s decision and the responsibility to be entrusted on me,” Vijayashanthi said while speaking to media persons after filing her nomination on Monday.

The Congress MLC candidate further claimed that the ruling party in the State had not failed in delivering promises made to the people. The State’s financial situation was in a mess and it would take time to set things right. It cannot be done overnight, she added.
