Khammam: There would be no political involvement in sanctioning Dalit Bandhu units to the beneficiaries, asserted District Collector VP Gautham.
He said the bank officials would personally visit the beneficiaries to open the bank accounts. The financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh would be credited directly into the accounts of the selected beneficiaries.
Gautham visited Chinna Mandava village in Chintakani mandal in the district on Tuesday and interacted with the beneficiaries creating awareness among them on the process of selection and how to make better use of the financial assistance the State government was providing them.
The Collector advised the scheme beneficiaries to grow financially by taking up profitable units and by running them effectively. Beneficiaries have to become employers by providing employment to few people. There were no restrictions on unit selection, the beneficiaries could establish business units of their choice. The government wants the beneficiaries to put their skills and experience to better use and succeed. A beneficiary could establish a unit of choice anywhere in the State.
Gautham told the beneficiaries to consult elders and experienced persons before launching the units. Chinna Mandava special officer and trainee Collector B Rahul, Social Welfare Officer K Satyanarayana and Lead District Manager Chandrashekhar Rao were present.
