Hyderabad: TPCC president B Mahesh Kumar Goud said there was no political vendetta involved in the Special Investigation Team (SIT) issuing a notice to BRS chief and former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao in the phone-tapping case.

The State government wants to conduct a transparent probe in the phone-tapping allegations, he told the media here on Thursday.

“We have immense respect towards BRS chief K Chandrashekhar Rao. There is no political vendetta in the SIT notice. To conduct a transparent probe, SIT can issue notices to anyone,” Goud said.

“There is no need for the Congress government to indulge in diversionary politics, especially when it is going to win the municipal elections comfortably,” Goud claimed.
